Abilene clutched Edward so tightly and cried because of the great sadness that washed over her that she was leaving Pellagrina.
Edward felt that by being clutched so tightly by Abilene while she cried was dampening his ears and wrinkling his shirt.
Martin and Amos.
They stripped him naked and played catch with him, but used him as the ball and when Abilene tackled one of them he dropped it overboard.
Edward kept his eyes open because there was no way to close his eyelids for they were painted.
